Nomad magazine is created, funded, written and illustrated by students of the University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh College of Art, although we welcome submissions from everyone and anyone. We pride ourselves on being truly eclectic, and our four main sections of Travel, Culture, Politics and Creative Writing offer a wide selection of high quality student journalism.

We host weekly writing workshops (Wendesday, 5PM at The Royal Dick Bar in Summerhall) to help our members develop their journalistic skills and writing styles regularly, with instant feedback and an informal atmosphere. Our committee and team of editors are relentlessly committed to ensuring a high standard in all of our work and publications, and because of this we are able to provide a magazine that we are all truly proud of.

The annual printed issue is distributed for free across Edinburgh in addition to what we publish on this blog. We host fundraising events all year round to cover the printing costs. Our events have a reputation for being creative, light hearted and fun - and from pub quiz to open mic nights, or band nights at Henry's Cellar Bar, there is something for everyone.

Have a look through our Instagram and Twitter and join our Facebook Group, Nomad Workshop Pieces 2018/18, to be kept in the loop of what we have going on!
